John Fink Announces Brentwood City Council Run

by ECT

BRENTWOOD – On Tuesday, John Fink announced his campaign for Brentwood City Council.  Fink, a Planning Commissioner, has lived and worked in Brentwood for 14 years.

“During my eight years on the planning commission, I have been a part of the many changes, challenges and opportunities that Brentwood has transitioned through,” said Fink. “This public service gives me unique experience to maintain the vibrancy of our community and guide Brentwood sensibly into the future as a member of the city council.”

Fink is currently a member and Past President of the Rotary Club of Brentwood, the volunteer coordinator for the Harvest Time Festival Committee, former volunteer for the Brentwood Police Department, a board member of the John Marsh Historic Trust, a past member and President of the Heritage High School Parents Club, and a volunteer at the Brentwood Regional Community Chest.

“My priorities are to maintain public safety and improve emergency response times, protect and improve our agriculture economy, balance housing with open space and the need to maintain quality public services, ensure future fiscal stability, and promote Plan Area 1 as a viable and attractive commercial and transit village development that will encourage and grow new and existing businesses and encourage economic development,” said Fink.

Fink has already earned the endorsement of Supervisor Diane Burgis, Councilmember Karen Rarey and former Councilmember Gene Clare.

Supervisor Burgis said, “John Fink is a valuable leader in Brentwood and his knowledge of planning and commitment to correcting the jobs and housing imbalance is needed.”

“I am honored to have earned the support of elected officials and leaders whom I admire in their leadership and willingness to listen to our community members when making decisions,” said Fink.

Excellent news. I’ve observed John in action as a leader in our community, and as a volunteer at countless events, and feel that the City of Brentwood would be well served by having Mr. Fink serve on our City Council. When you take into account how he has already served for eight years on the Planning Commission I would have to say that he’s going to be the ideal candidate this fall.
