Help Antioch Teen Win “Peoples Choice Award” For Miss California Teen Competition

Although Miss California Teen is not being held until January, Antioch’s Tiffany Cooper, 16,  can use your help in assisting her compete for the “People’s Choice Award”.

In order for her to win, people just have to go to the Miss Teen California Facebook page and “like” her photo. You are also encouraged to share the photo to help her gain additional “likes”.

Cooper, who attends Antioch High School, got into the competition after going through an interview process and they determined she was a good fit for the competition in terms of personality, but it’s the confidence she feels during the journey that she is most excited about.

“I think what make me want to compete most is knowing how much confidence you build during the journey and how much you overall grow as a person,” says Cooper. “Also to represent California would be such an amazing opportunity where I would hope to inspire, and represent my state and city to the best of my ability.”

Cooper is also excited about representing Antioch in a positive way.

“Representing Antioch at a state level to me means representing where I grew up, my home city. I have lived in Antioch my entire life and to be able to go to the Miss California pageant with the title of Antioch Teen is amazing. Antioch is a wonderful place and I hope to show that come this January at the pageant,” says Cooper.

She explained that before January’s competition begins, she has a lot of prep work that needs to be completed first. She says excise will play a big role to maintain a fit and healthy body image—but was quick to point out that depends on how much school work she has.

As for a diet, she says she does not diet, but rather makes healthy eating choices.

“For me, it is more of a lifestyle choice to eat better foods because it is all around better for you and your body,” said Cooper.

When it comes to training, it’s not the exercise or food she eats that concerns her, it’s the 6-inch heels.

“As far as training goes other than training at the gym you have to learn how to walk fabulously in 6 plus inch heels, which may sound easy but trust me it takes practice, a lot of practice,” said Cooper.

In terms of reactions to her competing, she has had a mixture of support and excitement.

“Peoples reaction when they find out I’m doing this pageant and representing Antioch has had a lot of variations. I had a lady at a clothing store scream and excitedly ask me question after question, which of course, I was happy to answer,” says Cooper. “A lot of people have said they are happy to have someone going out and representing Antioch in a positive way! Which I hope I can go out and do, to make my city proud”.
