Heat Advisory Through Thursday, Pittsburg Announces Cooling Stations

The City of Pittsburg announced that with several days of temperatures in the triple digits forecast for the week beginning June 19, 2017, the City of Pittsburg is opening cooling centers where people can come and seek refuge from the heat.

Sites will have air conditioning and water, and unfortunately pets cannot be accommodated at any of these locations.

Pittsburg Community Cooling Stations
Wednesday (6/21) and Thursday (6/22)

• Senior Community Center – Hours extended until 9p
• Buchanan Community Center – Open from 6p-9p
• Railroad Book Depot- Hours are extended until 9p

Pittsburg Community Cooling Stations
Thursday (6/22) ONLY

• California Theatre- Thursday from 5p-9p
• Library Conference Room – Open Thursday from 5p-9p
