Harris, Senate Homeland Security Democrats Call for Hearing on Domestic Violent Extremism

by ECT

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Kamala D. Harris and her Democratic colleagues on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee are asking for a hearing on violent white supremacism following the domestic terrorist attack in Charlottesville that killed one woman and injured many others.

In a letter to Committee Chairman Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, Senators Kamala D. Harris, Claire McCaskill of Missouri, Tom Carper of Delaware, Jon Tester of Montana, Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota, Gary Peters of Michigan, and Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire said, “We are writing to request that the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee hold a hearing on violent white supremacism and other domestic violent extremism.” Their letter emphasized the importance of “examin[ing] the root causes that fuel terrorism in order to understand the threats that we face…[which includes] investigating the root causes behind violent white supremacy in the United States.”

Recently, Republican Congressman Darrell Issa of California called for a House Judiciary Committee hearing on white supremacy in the United States, and the House Homeland Security Committee Democrats have also called for a hearing on the topic.

Your first course of action should be designating Antifa as a domestic terrorist group for their violent behavior.

Before you liberals start whining and complaining, review the definition of domestic terrorism under the USA Patriot Act.

Weird that Harris doesn’t include BLM in this so called violent supremacism.

As a US Senator madame, I would expect that you would have watched the video tapes from that march and taken notice that it was the counter protesters that escalated and started the violence, not the rednecks.

The white supremisist are a bunch of piece of s*** hillbillies and are just as useless antifa and BLM. Each race has the group of people that represent the worse of their race, however the left, the media and you as well Senator Harris appear to be pertetuating the problem by simply focusing on one group while ignoring the rest that contribute to the problem.

Hopefully she is a 1 term Senator!

Harris, why don’t start denouncing the Black Lives Matter Group. They are a Domestic Terrorist Hate Group! You and your Liberal Democratric colleagues are a disgrace to California and the Untied States. All this hatred and division in America was started by your Obama who actually invited BLM to the White House and praised them. You are a sick group completed wired wrong.

I’m confused. Were the people in Charlottesville protesting the removal of the statues or holding a rally to hype the Clan and Nazi’s into a good ole party on those they hate? How do they have the evidence to show one man driving into a crowd like an ISIS arse is an approved act of those rallying the haters? Evidence: Hater #1 leads the rally designating hater 2-100 to get into their cars and mow down people. Hater 99 is the only one to succeed. Domestic terrorism? Back in the day most certain but not today in Charlottesville. I also condemn the KKK, Nazi, White Supremacists an other hate groups.

The perpetuation of these violent events from all sides are the product of the exaggerated media. Sometimes I think there should be criminal charges pursued for those that incite riots. This would include but not limited to government workers, politicians, news organization editors, and of course organized extremist groups. We must move forward with health care, jobs, and lower taxes. Stop the distractions by stopping the attention they get.

Where was your Hearing on gang violence and drug trafficking over the last 20 years ?

Same opinion. Except now there should be a law to arrest any person at a public gathering that covers their face. Maybe then they can track who is really backing this anarchist behavior. A true free speach citizen doesn’t create or promote violence.
