Gubernatorial Candidate John Cox responds to Governor Brown’s State of the State

by ECT

California – Republican businessman and candidate for Governor John Cox responds to Governor Brown’s final State of the State with the following statement:

“Governor Jerry Brown will leave office no longer as Governor Moonbeam but as Governor Poverty.

Brown has presided over a state that is increasingly unaffordable for most of its citizens. During his tenure, the middle class and working citizens are moving into small apartments that eat the largest chunk of their income. Californians are paying for some of the most expensive gasoline, water and electricity costs in the nation. Our roads drive up the cost of maintenance and drive times and our schools are graduating students who can’t pass English and math tests. Our university systems continue to raise tuition making higher education increasingly out of reach for many.

Governor Brown’s uber rich funders however are doing fine. The remaining 99 percent are struggling and fleeing to more economically friendly states. Trial lawyers are very happy; whereas small businesses are struggling to stay open and pay their employees living wages. Large businesses are expanding and investing everywhere except for California. Our business climate as well as our legislature is a laughingstock nationally.

California’s major infrastructure projects are worldwide synonyms for corruption and waste. The high speed rail and water projects are on taxpayer funded life support and now seeing Democrats join with Republicans in opposition to continued waste.

Our public safety has been jeopardized and will continue to get worse as expensive prisons are emptied and sanctuary state legislation has rolled out the welcome mat for illegal criminal aliens.

The state of our state is dire and in desperate need of new management.”

John Cox is a businessman and Jack Kemp-style Republican. Mr. Cox is the leading Republican candidate in the race for California Governor. He is a resident of San Diego County where he lives with his wife and daughter

Quote for the week!
“Governor Jerry Brown will leave office no longer as Governor Moonbeam but as Governor Poverty.”

That’s awesome. Unfortunately everything else he says is true and hope is beyond just electing new people. Hope ya’ll like raman noodles. It will be all we can afford to eat.

Hi Mike:

Just read Jerry Brown’s “2018 State of the State speech online in the Contra Costa Times and this is what the I wrote in the comments section:

Democrats have turned California into a HUGE turd sandwich!

1. Taxes are out of control

2. You idiot liberals care more about illegal immigrants than citizens born and raised in the United States

3. Hollywood is full of perverts, pedophiles, homosexuals, and sexual predators;

4. Because you progressive lunatics legalized marijuana we now have pot heads driving on our roads and highways as high as a kite putting lives in danger.

5. As a result of democratic stupidity large numbers of companies & families are leaving California for states like Texas whose lawmakers have far more common sense than the Democratic fools running our state.

6. To add insult to injury, our mentally challenged Governor has made us a sanctuary state for murderers, rapist, child molesters and any other criminal who wants to be sheltered from criminal prosecution. Oh what joy it is to know that “Citizens Lives Don’t Matter”!!!!

The once greatest place to live in America has now become a sh**hole state.

Best of luck Mr. Cox. If you are lucky enough to become Governor please, please, please bring common sense back to California politics!
