Hold Your Horses Emergency Evacuation Response Team let Furry Friends Food Relief Program tag along to drop supplies and help with evacuation efforts in the Butte/Calaveras County Fires. We were able to help set up and organize the staging area for the Life Stock evacuation deployment center, which has now been evacuated and is relocating.
Much of our rescue efforts were put on hold yesterday due to people going in to areas that were off limits set by CalFire. Thinking they were doing a good thing, put over 100 rigs on hold until certain situations were under control again. This also put on hold the planes that were dropping water.
We (Hold Your Horses and FFFR) will be going back up again on Saturday. We will be dropping supplies and helping where we are needed in the rescue efforts. Below is a list of supplies that is needed.
Please bring all donations to Les Schwab Tire Center, 89 Carol Ln, Oakley (the corner of Main Street) on Thursday and Friday the 17th and 18th from 3:00pm -6:00pm. This is the OFFICIAL drop off location for HYH and FFFR.
