Friends of Oakley Giveaway 300 Christmas Baskets to Oakley Families

On Sunday, December 14, the Friends of Oakley held their Christmas Basket Giveaway Program at O’Hara Park Middle School. The give-a-way includes a turkey dinner, bread, fruits and vegetables, and other goodies along with toys for the children.

This year, the organization had more than 300 families with 836 children under the age of 18. Volunteers have been working since November to wrap presents, collect and sort food, and coordinate distribution.
