The Streets of Brentwood are hosting a family friendly 4th of July at the Streets which includes a kids parade of decorated strollers, wheelbarrow, and wagons. The parade will feature contests in multiple categories for decorated strollers and wagons along with face painting, balloon twisting, raffles and much more.
The first 100 people who Register online will receive a special “gift bag” and registration begins at 8:00 am Friday. Children from new born to 12 are eligible to participate in the parade and stroller & wagon decorating contest. Only decorated strollers, wheelbarrows and wagons are eligible for the parade with prizes which are gift cards from select Streets of Brentwood retailers or restaurants.
- First Place Award is $200.00 in AMC Gift Card
- Second Place is $100 Red Robin Gift Card
- Third Place is $50 Children’s Place Gift Card
The parade begins at 9:00 am with contests and fun follow.

PARTICIPATION RULES & REGULATIONS
1. Any parent or legal guardian with children 0-12 year of age are eligible to participate in the parade and stroller & wagon decorating contest.
2. All participants must comply with all rules and regulations of the parade and contest.
3. Each participating family may register at the event from 8:00am to 8:45am on Friday, July 4, 2014 at the parking lot behind Ulta and Jos A Banks.
4. Parent(s) of Guardian(s) must sign the official Release of Liability on Friday, July 4, 2014 between 8:00 am and 8:45 am PST, before the parade.
5. Parade and contest check-in begins at 8:00 am. The parade will begin at 9:00 am and the contest begins immediately after the parade on July 4, 2014.
6. All parade participants must sign The Streets of Brentwood’s 4th of July Kids Parade Release of Liability to participate in the event by 8:00 a.m. on July 4, 2014.
7. Only decorated strollers, wheelbarrows and wagons are eligible.
8. Decorated strollers, wheelbarrows and wagons must be in operational order to participate in the parade and the contest.
9. Children are encouraged to be inside the decorated wagon or stroller, based on the manufacturer’s weight and size specifications.
10. No Silly String or water guns (Super Soakers, etc.). Violators are subject to ejection from the parade. Violators of the no-shooting water etc. WILL NOT BE
ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FOLLOWING YEAR’S FOURTH OF JULY PARADE.
11. No open flames or any types of flames are allowed at the parade and contest.
12. Entries that are deemed political and offensive in nature are not allowed.
13. Dogs on leash are allowed in the parade, but owners are responsible for their animal(s), and must pick up after them.
14. Costumes or red/white/blue attire are highly encouraged for all people and animals in the parade.
15. No consumption of alcohol or any controlled substance or any lewd and inappropriate behavior is allowed in The Streets of Brentwood common areas, including the parade route. – This is a family event and appropriate behavior must be observed and practiced.
16. The Streets of Brentwood reserves the right to remove any group or individual(s) from the parade at any time.
*The Streets of Brentwood management reserves the right to amend these rules at any time, as they deem necessary without prior notice.
PARADE & CONTEST INSTRUCTIONS
1. Each approved participant will receive their number in the order of the parade and contest on Friday, July 4, 2014 upon signing the official parade’s release of liability form.
2. All participants should arrive NO LATER THAN 8:00 am on July 4th at the Streets parade staging area, located at Center Court, and line up in order according to number.
3. Once you/your group have completed the parade route, you may proceed to the grassy area in Center Court for the decorated stroller and wagon contest, enjoy other entertainment, or you may leave.
CONTEST RULES FOR STROLLER, WAGON OR WHEELBARROW
- Entrants must be 18 years of age or older.
- All functional decorated strollers, wagons or wheelbarrows are eligible to enter the contest in up to two (2) categories.
- Eligible categories are: Cutest, Funniest, Most Patriotic, Most Heroic, and Most Original.
- There are three (3) winners per category. First, Second, and Third Place
- A panel of three (3) judges from a local arts organization.
- *Prizes are gift cards from select Streets of Brentwood Retailers or Restaurant.
- First Place Award is $200.00 in AMC Gift Card, Second Place is $100 Red Robin Gift Card, Third Place is $50 Children’s Place Gift Card.
