The National Weather Service issued a freeze warning from 3:00 am to 9:00 am Monday, December 3 for the East Bay.
Low temperatures between 28-to-32 degrees are expected with impacts of freezing or sub-freezing temperatures can damage or kill plants sensitive to cold weather and damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
Those with pets, you are encouraged to make sure your animals have a warm shelter. If you witness an animal in distress, please call animal services at 925-608-8400 to report an animal in need.
A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
