Frazier Statement on Governor Brown’s 2015-16 Revised Budget Proposal

by ECT

Sacramento, CA – Thursday, Assemblymember Jim Frazier (D – Oakley) released the following statement in response to Governor Jerry Brown’s 2015-16 revised budget proposal:

“I commend the Governor for his ongoing commitment to fiscal responsibility in keeping a balanced budget. Through his leadership, Governor Brown has made great strides in paying down California’s debt, while also making investments in a rainy day fund for the future.

I applaud the Governor’s commitment to working with the Legislature on a transportation funding proposal that would address overdue repairs and maintenance on the state’s highways, roads and freight corridors. This echoes my longstanding concern that we need sustainable funding to address the improvement of our state’s overall transportation infrastructure.

I look forward to collaborating with the Governor and my colleagues in the Legislature as we work towards a final budget that properly invests in California and addresses our most critical needs.”
