Firefighters Limit Brentwood Vegetation Fire to 17 Acres

At roughly 4:55 pm, East Contra Costa Fire Protection District and CALFIRE crews responded to a vegetation fire that burned a reported 17-acres of vegetation on Camino Diablo west of Walnut Boulevard in unincorporated Brentwood Friday evening.

Engine 54 arrived on scene at roughly 5:07 pm and reported the fire to be an estimated one-fourth acre in size. Crews mobilized and began to attack the fire. Within ECCFPD, crews from Stations 52, 54, and 59 along BC 5 all responded.

Crews were on scene for roughly 3-hours and 26-minutes.
