FBI Seeks Public’s Help in Identifying “The Dreaded Bandit”

SAN FRANCISCO The FBI is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who is suspected of robbing at least two banks in the Bay Area in the last two months.

Provident-Credit-Union-5The most recent robbery that the suspect allegedly committed was a “takeover” style robbery at Provident Credit Union, located at 2727 South El Camino Real, San Mateo, California, 94403 at approximately 9:45 a.m. on May 12, 2016. The suspect displayed a black revolver and stole an undisclosed amount of money from the bank.

The suspect is described as a White or Hispanic male in his early 30’s, approximately 6-feet tall with a skinny build. He was also wearing tan colored makeup, a dark colored wig simulating long hair, a fake beard, and a brown jacket. The suspect is believed to be the same individual responsible for a bank robbery that took place at the First Republic Bank, located at 2001 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco, California, 94109 on April 22, 2016.

First-Republic-Bank-2The FBI is offering a cash reward up to a $5,000 for information leading to the apprehension and prosecution of the unknown suspect.
