Brentwood Tree Lighting
The City of Brentwood will host its tree lighting of a 24-foot Christmas tree at City Park at 6:00 pm on Dec. 6. The event will feature musical performances and refreshments. The actual lighting takes place at 7 p.m. with a visit from Santa.
- EducationWins Holiday Home Tour
The tour, held Saturday, Dec. 7 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., begins and ends at Club Los Meganos (located at Trilogy at The Vineyards, 1700 Trilogy Pkwy. in Brentwood), where attendees will receive a tour map. Following the tour, the group returns to the event center for libations, door prize drawings, live entertainment, refreshments, plus silent auctions. For tickets, visit their website
- Oakley Christmas Tree Lighting in Oakley!
Join us for the Annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Saturday, December 7. You cannot miss the traditional lighting of the 30′ Christmas tree at the Civic Center Plaza. The festivities will kick off at 5pm with performances by the Oakley Elementary School District choir, followed by the Freedom High School choir. There will also be free refreshments for all and Santa will be on hand to visit with children and pose for photos. There will be games and crafts for the children. - Bethel Island Crab Feed
An all you can eat crab feed hosted by the Santa Sack Program and Bethel Island Lions Club this Saturday beginning at 4:00 pm at Scout Hall, 3090 Ranch Lane Road) with proceeds going to support the Santa Sack Program. Donations and new unwrapped toys are also being accepted. The event will feature Fresh Crab, Pasta, Bread and Dessert for $35. If you can’t eat crab, you may replace it with a rib eye steak for $20. - Antioch Tradition Continues – Boat Parade
The Antioch Lighted Boat Parade tradition continues. The Antioch Holiday Lighted Boat Parade will take place Saturday, December 7, 2013 at approximately 5:30 PM (weather permitting). The event is sponsored by the Sportsman, Bridge Marina, Dos Rios and Ebony Yacht Clubs. The parade begins at 5:30 PM and the best locations to view are the Antioch Municipal Pier and all along 2nd Street in downtown Antioch. - Discovery Bay Parade of Lights
The, “A Miracle on Discovery Bay Blvd.,” begins at 6 p.m. when thousands of participants, lighted floats, dancers, marching bands and more wind their way through the streets.
Lumpy’s Diner and Jeremy Newberry’s 6th Annual Toy Drive
This annual event will begin in Pittsburg at 615 Railroad Ave at 10:00 am sharp and will cruise to Antioch where a Toy Drive and Car Show will begin at 11:00 am and go until 3:00 pm. Car show entry fee is $20 or bring an unwrapped gift in lieu. The event is rain or shine.
Antioch Woman’s Club Holiday House Tour
The Antioch Woman’s Club hosts its 59th Annual Christmas House Tour Sunday, Dec. 8, from noon to 4 p.m. which features 6-homes. There will be a reception following at VFW Hall located at 825 Fulton Shipyard Road. The event will then have hors d’oeuvres, a dessert table, candy bar, champagne, punch and coffee. The Legends All Star Cheerleaders Santa Breakfast
The Legends All Stars Cheerleaders will be hosting a Breakfast with Santa on Sunday December 8, 2013 at Shadow Lakes Golf Course Banquet Center. The event is split into two seating times for breakfast at 8:30 am and 10:00 am. Tickets are $10 and kids 2 and under eat free. Holiday Run & Walk hosted by the Delta-Antioch Kiwanis Club
The Kiwanis Club of the Delta from Antioch, State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson, East Bay Regional Park District, and the City of Antioch proudly present The Holiday Run and Walk for Health on December 14 beginning at 7:30 am at the Contra Loma Regional Park in Antioch. Pittsburg Holiday Parade
The annual Holiday Parade returns to Old Town at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 14. The parade route will begin at 8th Street and Railroad Avenue, and will continue along Railroad to its end at Third Street. After the parade, the City Recreation Department will have activities for children and families to enjoy at Old Town Plaza, located along Railroad Avenue between Fifth and Sixth streets. Also in the neighborhood is the Pittsburg Arts and Community Foundation boutique, which is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 690 Railroad Avenue.
