Engine 94 Assist: Control Burn Briefly Gets Out of Control

by ECT

Here is a friendly reminder that if you are going to have a controlled burn, be sure not to let it get too big and with fields quickly turning brown, be sure to cut them to help prevent large fires from occurring.

Today, East Contra Costa Fire Protection District Engine 94 responded to a controlled burn Ranch Rd. in Brentwood  that briefly got out of control due to a fire being stacked a big too high according to Chief Henderson whom I spoke with briefly on scene. Engine 94 was quickly able to assist and get it back under control without any incident or threat to surrounding homes.

“It’s just that time of season with controlled burns ending Tuesday,” said Chief Henderson.
