List: How Companies Have Responded to the Coronavirus

The following is a list of businesses who are offering some sort of assistance or changing how they do business amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. This list is designed to provide information of how it may help people navigate through their concerns.

Note – this list does not include companies that have said “work from home” or “hours changed” but how their changes may impact people.

 

AMC Movie Theatres: Limiting capacity to 50%. More info

Apple: Closing all stores outside of China. More info

AT&T: Will not terminate the service of any wireless, home phone or broadband residential or small business customer because of their inability to pay their bill due to disruptions caused by the coronavirus pandemic.  Waive any late payment fees that any wireless, home phone or broadband residential or small business customer may incur because of economic hardship related to the coronavirus pandemic. Chipolte: will offer Free Delivery starting March 15 through March 31 to make life easier for guests. Delivery orders are customized via Chipotle’s Delivery Kitchen, which is comprised of a dedicated ingredient line operated by a special team. More info

Comcast: Company Opens Xfinity WiFi Network Nationally for Free, Offers Unlimited Data for Free, Confirms Its Commitment to Connecting Low-Income Families: Full Message

Contra Costa County Courts:  CLOSED approximately for 2 weeks beginning Monday March 16th. They hope to reopen Wednesday April 1st. More info

CVS Pharmacy: Offering free delivery on Rx and other essentials. More info

Delta Airlines: have waived many change fees and are working with customers to adjust travel plans + djusting our schedule in response to US and international government and CDC guidance while listening to where customers tell us they want to fly.  Information is very fluid, direct link to their website

Disney: Disneyland Resort in Los Angeles will be temporarily closed beginning on Saturday, March 14, 2020. The closure will include the Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park through the end of the month. They also made Frozen 2 available 3-months early on Disney+.  More info

Nike: store closures in multiple countries around the world including in the United States, Canada, Western Europe, Australia and New Zealand to limit the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). These closures will go into effect from Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 27. More info

PG&E: Voluntarily implemented a moratorium on service disconnections for non-payment, effective immediately. This suspension will apply to both residential and commercial customers and will remain in effect until further notice. More info

Sports

  • MLB – opening day delayed 2 weeks, spring training cut short – more info
  • NASCAR – Postponed the race events at Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend and Homestead-Miami Speedway next weekend. More info
  • NCAA – The NCAA announced March 12 that the Division I men’s and women’s basketball tournaments, as well as all remaining winter and spring NCAA championships. More info
  • NBA – Suspended the season for 30-days. More info
  • PGA Tour – cancelled tournaments and postponed The Masters – More Info
  • XFL – cancelled the remainder of the season. More info

Six Flags: Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and Six Flags Magic Mountain in California have temporarily suspended operations until the end of March, at which time we will re-evaluate the situation. More Info

Starbucks: “While we are currently maintaining regular operations across the U.S. and Canada, our stores are prepared to modify operations with options that still allow us to serve you your favorite beverage and food. This means that as we navigate this dynamic situation community-by-community and store-by-store, we may adapt the store experience by limiting seating to improve social distancing, enable mobile order-only scenarios for pickup via the Starbucks App or delivery via Uber Eats, or in some cases only the Drive Thru will be open. As a last resort, we will close a store if we feel it is in the best interest of our customers and partners, or if we are directed to do so by government authorities. Target: Staffing up to support in-demand services like Order Pickup and Drive Up. More info

Travis Credit Union: During a rolling 12-month period, applicants are eligible to skip 2 months of payments on installment loans or line of credit; and one skipped payment on a credit card. More info

Verizon: Company will waive late fees and keep residential and small business customers connected if negatively impacted by global crisis Networks continue to perform strongly as Verizon accelerates investments for the future. More Info

Walmart: stores and Neighborhood Markets will be open 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. until further notice. This will help ensure associates can clean and stock products. Stores operating under more reduced hours will keep current hours of operation. More info

Whole Foods: Working to expand capacity to service more Prime Members with free, two-hour grocery delivery and door drop service from Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market in more than 2,000 cities and towns. They have also stated all Team Members diagnosed with COVID-19 or placed into quarantine will receive up to two weeks of pay. They have increased funds available through our Team Member Emergency Fund, which is available to all Team Members faced with an unforeseeable emergency or critical situation. Amazon has committed an additional $1.6M to support the fund. More info

I stopped shopping at WHOLE FOODS when that A-Hole, Jeff Bozo, bought the chain and proceeded to ruin it. A lot of my relatives and friends did the same.
