Here is a look at some of the local events within East Contra Costa County which clearly belongs to the cats and dogs as Maddies Fund is set for Saturday which is offering free pet adoptions to qualified homes.

While we have included flyers below, here is a link to all locations participating and rescues. Maddie’s® Pet Adoption Days in 2013 was a huge success with a total of 8,432 animals found loving homes during the event – a far cry from the original estimate of 5,000 adoptions!

Fitness Boot CampOneRevolution

Brownstone Gardens Bridal Boot Camp
Open to the public, this free event begins workouts on Saturdays from 8:00 to 9:00 am throughout the summer and into the fall. The series will be led by Mary and Brandon Collins, independent Beachbody Coaches. Participants need to bring a Yoga mat, towel, and water bottle.  Brownstone Gardens is located at 91 Brownstone Road in Oakley.

The farmers market will run on Saturdays between March 15 through November 22 between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm located at First Street between Oak and Chestnut.


A Little Further Out

Brentwood Armory new

June 8: The Brentwood Armory will be hosting a Re-Grand Opening Party from 11:00 to 2:00 pm to showcase their newly remodeled store. KAT Country will be on hand helping celebrate by giving away 2-tickets every 10-minutes for 2-hours between 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm for their Listener Appreciation Concert for June 21. The event will feature jumpers for kids, food, and plenty of raffle prizes.

To win tickets for the concert on June 21, all you have to do is show up and help celebrate.

Streets of Brentwood Parade

Streets of Brentwood 4th of July Parade
The Streets of Brentwood will be hosting a 4th of July Kids Parade on July 4 beginning at 8:00 am and will end around 11:00 am. The event will feature:

  • Parade of beautifully decorated strollers and wagons
  • Contest in multiple categories for the decorated strollers and wagons
  • Face Painting
  • Balloon Twisting
  • Raffle
  • …and much more!
