On March 15, the Antioch Police Department conducted a DUI checkpoint which netted 2 DUI arrests and made 9 citations between 9:00 pm and 1:00 am. Antioch Police established the DUI checkpoint at Buchanan Road near Delta Fair Blvd. It was reported that 245 vehicles went through the check point. Officers were assisted by members of the department’s Volunteers In Police Service (VIPS) program.

Now that’s what I’m talking about!! This is a job well done by APD for this proactive approach to deterring crime.
Let me say it again folks, the word for today is PROACTIVE.
PROACTIVE has always been the word used by APD. Unfortunately cut backs killed it.
