Discovery Bay: Sheriff’s Office Seek 18-Year-old in Connection with Homicide of 9-Year-Old Boy

The Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff is investigating the death of an 8-year-old boy Sunday as a homicide where an authorities are looking for William Schultz, an 18-year-old Discovery bay resident.

Suspect Sought in Discovery Bay Homicide

The Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff is currently seeking William Schultz in connection with a homicide that was reported this morning.

William Schultz is an 18-year-old Discovery Bay resident. He is described as:

White male, 6′,2″, 170 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He is believed to be driving a 4-door 2009 Chevy Silverado with California license plate – 8W92639.

Schultz is wanted in connection with a homicide that occurred in Discovery Bay. This morning at about 10:03, the Office of the Sheriff received a report of a stabbing on the 1900 block of Frost Way. When Deputies arrived on scene, the victim, a 9-year-old boy, had already been taken to the hospital by a family member. He was pronounced deceased at the hospital. He is not being identified at this time.

Deputies identified Schultz as the suspect and began searching for him. Law enforcement agencies in the area have been notified. Detectives are trying to establish a motive in the case.
