Update: Arrest Made in Discovery Bay Stabbing

On Tuesday, a man was airlifted to a local hospital after being stabbed in the back in the 3500 block of Catalina Way in Discovery Bay.

The incident occurred at 6:55 pm where Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Deputies along with the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District and AMR responded.

A medical helicopter was requested and transported the 20-year-old man to John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek.

 On Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at about 6:50 PM, Deputy Sheriffs were dispatched to a residence on the 3500 block of Catalina Way in Discovery Bay for a  stabbing. Deputies arrived finding a stabbing victim who was taken to a hospital by helicopter. He is expected to survive.
 
Deputies investigating the stabbing located several subjects in a home nearby. Deputies determined that one of them was the suspect in the stabbing and arrested him. He is identified as 19-year-old Clayton Stull of Discovery Bay. He was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility for assault with a deadly weapon. He is being held in lieu of $30,000 bail.
