At 9:49 am Monday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a report of a medical emergency in the 2300 block of Cove Ct in the Town of Discovery Bay.
Engine 59 arrived on scene to locate a 45-year-old male who was injured after he fell off a residential roof at a height of about 15-feet. The cause of how he fell was unknown, however, the fire district says he suffered head, neck and abdominal pain while appearing to be altered.
According to Battalion Chief Jake Gonzalez, the ma was stabilized and care was provided until AMR could transport the patient to the medical helicopter where REACH airlifted him to John Muir Medical Center.
No further details were provided.
