The Delta Veterans Group announced this week the donations of $10,000 from Veterans of Foreign Wars – Post 6435 and $10,000 from Veterans of Foreign Wars – Post 6435 Auxiliary towards Stand Down on the Delta 2017.
Stand Down on the Delta is a bi-yearly event providing community resources, clothing, food, legal assistance and court, housing, DMV, and many other services to homeless and at-risk veterans and their families.
The event takes place at the Contra Costa County Fairgrounds.

In 2015, the Stand Down hosted 356 Veteran’s and their families and they are expecting up to 100 more this year.
Checks will be presented to the Stand Down on the Delta Board at their June 1st meeting – 7pm at 403 W 6th St Antioch CA 94509.
