Here is a look at some of the events in East Contra Costa County for the weekend of December 9-10.
7:30 am: 41st Annual Holiday Run and Walk for Health
The Kiwanis Club of the Delta from Antioch, State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson, East Bay Regional Park District, and the City of Antioch proudly present The Holiday Run and Walk for Health at Contra Loma Park in Antioch. A major part of the race day activities is a Health Fair. Health Fair vendors will be providing health testing, fitness information, and healthy food and drink sampling. For more information, click here
8:30 am: Heritage Preforming Arts Boosters Breakfast With Santa
Join the Heritage Performing Arts Boosters and Brentwood Rotary at the Brentwood Community center from 8:30 am to 10:30 am for a pancake breakfast with music from HHS jazz bands, and small music combos and pictures with Santa. 9:30 am: Somersville Towne Center Hosts Breakfast With Santa
Join the Somersville Towne Center as they host Breakfast With Santa from 9:30 am. For more information, contact (925) 754- 5230.
10:00 am: Santa Photos and LuLaPalooza
Located at Brownstone Gardens (91 Brownstone Road), 10 LulaRoe vendors will be on hand with thousands of pieces while the event will also feature pictures with Santa, LulaCash giveaways. The even will run until 2:00 pm.

10:00 am: Artisan’s & Holiday Pet Adoption Fair
Artisan’s & Howlida Pet Adoptions presented by Purrfet Pets Magazine between 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Somersville Towne Center Mall at 2550 Somersville Road, Antioch. The event will feature pet adoptions, pet microchipping, raffle fundraiser.

11:00 am: Pittsburg Holiday Parade & Peppermint Playland
Join the City of Pittsburg for their Holiday Parade which will be held on December 9th, 2017 between Railroad and 8th street & 4th street.
- Parade, begins at 11am
- Peppermint Playland in the Square, 12 Noon to 3pm.
Parade route is on Railroad Avenue, starting at Eighth Street and ending on Fourth Street. Registration and Staging will be on Eighth Street. Judging will be on Fifth Street and Railroad Avenue.
1:00 pm: Rosa Fierro Cellars Grand Release Party (Livermore)
Rosa Fierro Cellars is excited to announce our GRAND RELEASE PARTY from 1:00 to 4:00 for an educational tasting of all our wines. The event is located at 5937 Graham Ct. Unit B, Livermore, CA 94550.
Taste and compare the oaked v. the unoaked Chardonnay, a vertical tasting of our de la luna Merlot, two 2014 Thatcher Bay Cabernets which were crafted differently two weeks apart, and ending with our delicious Quatro Blend.

2:30 pm: Rep. McNerney to Host Congress at Your Corner
Congressman Jerry McNerney (CA-09) invites constituents to join him in Brentwood at a Congress at Your Corner event. Congress at Your Corner is part of an effort to reach out to the residents of California’s 9th Congressional District at places they already visit, such as coffee shops, grocery stores and other local businesses. It provides an opportunity for constituents to meet with their Congressman one-on-one, and discuss the important issues that affect their daily lives.
