Trying to make dogs and cats more adoptable is one of the top priorities for Contra Costa Animal Services and with help from the Foundation for Veterinary Dentistry’s “Make Me Smile Shelter Project,” The non-profit group is donating time, resources, equipment and expertise to train shelter veterinarians across the country with the goal of making the animals more adoptable.

In early December, the Make Me a Smile Project visited Contra Costa Animal Services to train staff to fix animal dental problems.  Contra Costa County Animal Services was the first to receive training and equipment from Make Me Smile Shelter Project,”

Now not only will this program increase the adoption rate but it will help animals leave the shelter happier and healthier than when they came in.

When it was time to make a difference Contra Costa Animal Services step up to the plate and with the help of partnerships, employees, volunteers and marketing they make a difference every day. They are stepping up their game to get these homeless animals in homes where they belong.

KUDOS to all involved
