A 23 year old Antioch woman has been arrested on a charge of child abuse, after parents witnessed the woman strike and shake the infant on video.
Police Chief Steve Simpkins said officers were dispatched at 2:32 p.m. to a home on Bordeaux Court after parents saw the incident occur via a remote video camera. At the scene, officers arrested Mikayla Ririe, 23, of Antioch on charges of child abuse. Ririe was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
The child, a 10 month old infant, was transported to San Ramon Regional Hospital as a precaution.
No further information is available at this time, as the incident remains under investigation.
