The All Wars Memorial, located at Oak Hill Park in Danville, is a memorial dedicated to all who served in American wars. Maintained by the Town of Danville in collaboration with the All Wars Memorial Foundation, the site features bronze figures, walking paths, stone walls and a historical quotation wall.
Vandals used black and red spray paint to deface the areas around the memorial. Photos of the vandalism are attached.
The Town of Danville and private donors have issued a combined $6,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator.“The All Wars Memorial is dedicated to honoring the men and women who served our country,” said Police Chief Steve Simpkins. “We hope that this reward will help lead our investigators find out who committed this disgraceful crime.”

Somebody out there knows their kid has some rattle cans and probably won’t do anything about it. Graffiti artists typically aren’t this stupid, callous, or disrespectful and often take pride in their “art.” This is some teenager without a curfew who probably won’t graduate and definitely didn’t get the discipline they needed. Hopefully this kid gets caught and made to clean this mess up themselves along with some rehabilitative public Samaritan work assignments.
