On Wednesday August 26th, the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office filed criminal charges against Danville resident and middle school teacher Mitchell Wolf. Wolf has been charged in a one count criminal complaint with aggravated child pornography possession, in violation of California Penal Code section 311.11(c). The complaint alleges on August 22nd, 2014, Wolf was in possession of over 600 images and videos depicting children under the age of 12 engaged in sexual conduct.

On August 22nd, the task force executed a search warrant in the 500 block of Bourne Lane in Danville. A search of the residence yielded a significant amount of child pornography, stored on both computers and DVD disks. As a result of the search warrant, Mitchell Wolf was taken into custody.

Wolf is being held in the custody of the Contra Costa County Sheriff and his bail has been set at one million dollars. He will make his next court appearance September 2nd to enter a plea. Wolf is currently a math teacher at Diablo Valley Middle School in Danville.
