Controlled Burning to Continue This Week in Antioch Along Highway 4

The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District will continue to be holding control burns and wildland fire training in Antioch in the hills at Vista Grande and Canada Valley.

This is a multi-agency training which will continue Monday June 18 through Friday June 22 between 10:00 am to 4:00 pm where smoke is expected to be observed from parts of Antioch, Oakley and the bypass.

There is no cause for alarm if you see large amounts of smoke as they will have firefighters, fire engines and dozers in the area. This is an annual training for CONFIRE and neighboring districts.
