Update: Contra Costa Sheriff’s Deputies Say Kidnapping Attempt Did Not Occur

Sheriff’s deputies arrested three people Saturday near Martinez, in connection with an alleged kidnapping.

At 4:59 p.m. Saturday, sheriff’s officials received a call from a person who said they saw three men force a woman into a car near Pacheco Blvd. and Vine St., Lt. Ian Herbert said.

The caller wrote down the vehicle’s license plate number and deputies were able to locate the vehicle, according to Herbert.

Deputies arrested the three men, Herbert said.

The victim did not suffer any injuries, and the names of those arrested haven’t been released.

Update
The Contra Costa County Sheriffs Office stated that after investigation & interviews it was determined that a kidnapping did not occur. However two suspects being held on unrelated charges.
