Contra Costa County Public Works to Conduct Maintenance Work on Byron Highway

Brentwood, CA – Contra Costa County Public Works Department will perform roadwork on Byron Highway between State Route 4 and Byron Hot Springs Road.

The roadwork will occur from Monday, October 29th through Thursday, November 1st between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

The roadwork will consist of grinding and base failure repairs.  Grinding involves the use of a tractor to excavate damaged pavement and replace it with new pavement. The work may be rescheduled based on weather conditions. Electronic message boards will alert drivers of the scheduled work. There will be traffic control through the work area and motorists can expect delays.
