Construction Set for Byron Highway and Camino Diablo Through November

by ECT

The Contra Costa County Public Works Department announced that construction on the Byron Highway and Camino Diablo intersection is scheduled to begin on or around July 10, 2017.

The public is advised to expect delays through the end of November.

The project will widen roadway pavement to provide shoulders and left turn lanes on Byron Highway and eastbound Camino Diablo.  The project will also install a traffic signal, sidewalk and ADA compliant curb ramps along the north side of Camino Diablo to Main Street and will upgrade the railroad crossing on Camino Diablo.

The project will be constructed in phases and will include a road closure of Camino Diablo between Main Street and Byron Highway.
