Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Jerry McNerney (CA-09) announced he will host a bipartisan town hall meeting on veterans issues this Friday, April 25 at 10 a.m.  It will take place in the Community Room at Health Plans of San Joaquin, located at 7751 South Manthey Road in French Camp.

Congressman McNerney will be joined by his colleague Rep. Jeff Denham (CA-10).

Officials from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will be in attendance to provide updates on a variety of issues and answer questions from the two Congressmen and veterans in attendance.

“I’ve been fortunate to represent our nation’s veterans and their families, and I have worked every day to ensure their voices are heard and their needs are met,” said Congressman McNerney. “I always look forward to hearing directly from the veterans themselves, and I’m glad the VA will be on hand to answer our questions and provide some updates.”

At the town hall, Congressman McNerney will discuss his efforts to move forward with the French Camp medical facility project, his work to hold the VA accountable for the backlog in disability claims and the disability appeals process, and his proposals to improve access to quality mental health care for returning veterans.
