Congressman DeSaulnier’s Statement on the Passage of Trumpcare by House Republicans

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Mark DeSaulnier (CA-11) issued the following statement after Republicans voted to pass the American Health Care Act (H.R. 1628) out of the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 217-to-213.

“What took place on the floor of the House of Representatives is shocking, sad, and will—with no hyperbole—if passed by the Senate result in people dying. Under Trumpcare, 24 million Americans will be kicked off their health insurance, those living with pre-existing conditions ranging from cancer to autism will witness their premiums skyrocket, seniors will be forced to pay 5 times more for their health care than the average American, and 30 million children will lose critical services by cutting Medicaid, all in the name of massive tax cuts for the wealthy.” said Congressman DeSaulnier.

  1. Healthcare is not a right, pay for your own Healthcare insurance like all other insurance. Democrats and Obama lied and robbed working class. They said you can keep your doctor and your plan but millions lost both and started pay thousands in premiums and deductibles while being penalised for not paying it. While some lazy bum gets better and cheaper healthcare on other hard working peoples back. Socialism is a failure, just look at Venezuela.

  2. Of course you would say that, Im waiting to see from your buddies… @ The_Dude

    • There is a difference between proud immigrant and proud illegal immigrant. You and your family are probably here ILLEGALY, or if you were a legal immigrant like me who stood in line and came here the right way you wouldn’t throw the word immigrant around those make others feel sorry for you. Get out if you’re illegal or hope ICE finds you!

  3. DeSaulnier, you need to crawl back into your liberal hole, I am sick and tired of paying more for something I have worked hard for my MEDICAL INSURANCE.

  4. This action is another attempt to put more money in the pockets of the 1%. Money which will come out of your pockets. The Rethugs have a lot of nerve going to the White House to celebrate. They got to first base and they think they hit a home run. Idiots. All of them.

Democrats serve the people, Republicans serve themselves.
