by ECT

Concord, CA – On July 27, 2018, at approximately 9:30 PM, Concord Police Officers responded to a home in the 1200 block of Pine Creek Way in Concord, CA.

Friends had gone to check on the homeowner, Michael Downie (64 years old), and found that he had been murdered. Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit responded to handle the investigation.

Detectives have identified Terrance Boyd Dixon (55 years old) as a suspect in this murder and there is currently a warrant for his arrest.

Dixon and the victim knew each other but there is no clear motive at this time. Dixon’s most recent contacts are out of Brandon, Oregon but he has a history of law enforcement contacts in the states of California, Oregon, Washington and Nevada. Dixon’s current whereabouts are unknown and he is considered armed and dangerous.

During the investigation, it was learned that the victim’s car, a blue 2013 Hyundai Veloster, had been stolen. That car should be displaying California license plate number 6ZHZ052. Dixon is believed to be driving that car.

If Terrance Dixon or the Victim’s car are seen by a member of the public, they are asked to not to approach and immediately call their local law enforcement agency or 911.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Detective Kevin Giacoletto at (925) 6713040. Those wishing to remain anonymous may contact the anonymous tip line at (925) 603-5836.
