Concord Police Announce Homicide Suspect in Custody

On May 6, 2017, at about 9:00 AM, a Concord Police officer was flagged down by a woman reporting a possible dead body in the area of Willow Pass Rd. and Market St.

The officer checked the area and found a man deceased in some nearby bushes.
Detectives were called out to assist with the investigation and determined the man was a victim of a homicide. A suspect was identified and arrested by Concord Police officers the following morning. The suspect was booked into County Jail on the murder charge and is currently in-custody.

The name of the suspect is not being released at this time because the investigation is still active. Also, the name of the victim is not being released pending notification of next of kin.
