I could see the long line of headlights on Kirker Pass from my kitchen window this morning. Was so hoping it was just an auto accident with no injuries. Auto vs. pedestrian is the worst.

The pedestrian was still in the road covered by a tarp at 9:00am. Horrible tragedy and constant reminder. Use crosswalks folks.

The sad and tragic reality of pedestrians who refuse to use crosswalks.

Nick, a pedestrian has the right-of-way no matter if they walk in a designated crosswalk or when there is none. Many areas don’t have marked crosswalks. However, Kirker Pass is a very dangerous road. People drive at a very high rate of speed up hill and then ride their brakes downhill instead of putting their engines into second gear. I avoid Kirker Pass like the plague!
