Concord Police Search Oakley Home for Murder Suspect

On Saturday, Concord Police Department were in the City of Oakley serving a high-risk warrant for a murder suspect after a shooting that occurred around 1:50 am in Concord.

Oakley Police and the Concord Police Department currently have the area Main Street and Charles Way blocked off and are expected to be on scene for several more hours.

Update – as of 2:00 pm, Concord Police cleared the home. It’s unclear if anyone was detained.

According to Concord Police:

At about 1:50 AM, the Concord Police Department received a report of a shooting in the 1900 block of Salvio St near Adobe St. Officers arrived on scene within minutes and found a man on the ground. Lifesaving efforts were attempted by officers and arriving fire/medical personnel but the man died at the scene.

Detectives were called to assist with the investigation which is ongoing and active. We are in the preliminary stages of this investigation and do not have further information to provide.

People in the area of 1900 and 1800 block of Teresa Lane in Oakley are advised to lockdown in the nearest place of safety. Go inside, and close and lock all windows and doors. Stay off the phone and do not call 911 unless you need to report a life-threatening emergency. To report suspicious activity, contact the Sheriff’s Dispatch at 925-646-2441. Stay indoors until further official instructions.
