CONCORD, California – Concord Disposal Service, Concord’s garbage and recycling collection company, is partnering with the Concord Police Department to donate 200 blankets for the winter to the Monument Crisis Center. The blankets will be donated to seniors participating in the Senior Moments Program, a dynamic wellness program sponsored by the Monument Crisis Center, specially designed especially for low-income seniors.

“We are so appreciative of Concord’s senior population, who contribute greatly to the vitality of Concord,” said Concord Disposal CEO Joe Garaventa.  “Being able to contribute blankets for the cold winter nights is our great privilege.”

“The Concord Police Department strives to build relationships and partnerships with the Concord community and we are very proud of our work to help local seniors,” said Isidrio Llanos, Concord Police Department Recycling Theft Prevention Specialist.

Senior Moments also provides blood pressure screenings, nutritious meals, music and entertainment and take-home groceries for area seniors.

Concord Disposal Service, a Garaventa Company, is the local recycling and garbage company in the City of Concord, serving the needs of Concord residents for over 75 years.
