Coming Friday: Joffre Bolda to Provide Home Security Advice Column

Joffre Bolda

East County Today is proud to announce that beginning this Friday, we will be providing a new service each week to ensure our readers homes are better protected from burglaries. This will come in the form of an advice column from California Home Security Pros, an authorized ADT Dealer, salesperson Joffre Bolda.

Bolda, an Antioch resident, has been in the residential and commercial security industry for almost a decade. He started off his career with ADT corporate then transitioned to the ADT Dealer program. Prior to the security industry, Joffre has held positions as an Account Executive in the furniture industry and also managed Big Box retail companies in the Bay Area.

Every Friday, Joffre will be sharing security tips on how to protect our home and businesses. He has a wealth of knowledge in the home security industry I am in impressed on how passionate he feels on helping protect our East County residents and businesses.

One of the easiest crimes to prevent is burglaries. Statistics show that it happens every 15 seconds.  If it does happen, you lose more than personal belongings; it causes a major impact on you and your family’s sense of safety,” said Bolda. “Sometimes we go about our day to day routines and forget the simple things that we can do to help continue to keep our home and families safe.  I want to be able to be a part of that to help prevent/detour as much break-in’s as I can and share some general tips that people may overlook.

The goal of the column is to share knowledge on home protection and provide security tips to prevent the police from ever coming to one’s house or business.  He is an advocate of providing simple tips that make a big difference.

“When people are so in-tuned with their everyday routines, we forget to take extra precautions, says Bolda. “For example, the most common one is forgetting or neglecting to lock the garage door that leads into the home. It can surprise some people on how common it is but sometimes we feel if the garage door is closed than that’s safe enough.”

Bolda is a big advocate in sharing knowledge where an informed community will keep burglars away. He considers his weekly advice timely.

“As a resident of East County myself, I experience the same problems we all come to face with in our neighborhood. Over the past few years, I’ve seen crimes go from bad to worse and not looking like it’s getting any better. We owe it to ourselves to be as proactive and involved in rebuilding our communities and neighborhoods.  Now is the best time ever,” says Bolda.

Great idea! We need security tips for Antioch residents! I was posting tips on one of the popular Antioch Facebook pages until they banned me and a lot of other conservatives from posting. We need more Antioch residents to secure their homes!

I’m also a big proponent of video security systems. The costs of these systems have come down considerably, and are well worth looking into.
