Color Battle at Adams Middle School Raises $30,000 in Donations

by ECT

This week, Adams Middle School in Brentwood held a fundraiser that resulted in $30,000 through a Color Battle, a one-hour series of games and activities where students get messy with safe colored powder packets.

According to Michael Wood, Principal at Adams Middle School, Nicole Hunt, the Parent’s Club Vice President, reached out to the company that organizes the Apex Fun Runs for our schools and asked about fundraisers that would appeal to middle school students.

Any student who raised the minimum of $30 became eligible to participate in the Color Battle,  They came away from the battles looking like the brightly colored characters from a Pixar film.

According to Superintendent Dana Eaton, AMS Parent’s Club will receive a percentage of that similar to the breakdown for the Fun Runs our schools participate in each year. They are committed to using the funds to purchase books for our school library and to purchase another fully stocked chrome book cart.
