Citing Health Issues, CSD Director Ray Tetreault Resigns

by ECT

Ray Tetreault

Ray Tetreault, President of the Discovery Bay Community Services Director Board has resigned due to medical issues and we want to wish Mr. Tetreault the best and hope he gets well.

Mr. Tetreault has the second longest tenure on the Board in the history of Discovery Bay serving 11 of the past 13-years. Former CSD Director David Piepho has served the longest tenure after serving a total of 12-years.

What will happen now is a replacement will be appointed. This replacement will need a majority of the board to act—meaning 3-votes are required. If the Board cannot come to a consensus, the Board of Supervisors will make the appointment.

Discovery Bay Town Manager Rick Howard was thankful for Tetreaults service.

“Ray has been a Director that has served his community with distinction for many years.  I appreciate his candid and straight forward approach to the issues.  I am honored to have worked with Ray for the past three years and am proud of the many accomplishments that have come about as a result of his commitment to his job as an elected official, but more importantly, as a member of the Discovery Bay community.   He will be missed,” said Howard.
