At 6:14 am Monday, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters responded to a report of an exterior fire next to a church on Lone Tree Way in the City of Antioch.

The fire occurred in the 3100 block of Lone Tree Way at Walton Lane where the Indonesian Baptist Church caught fire.

According to Contra Costa Fire, the fire started on the outside with possibly a shed fully involved which caught a fence and some vegetation on fire. It then caught the building on fire and entered the attic where firefighters began to make fire attack.

They were able to quickly extinguish the blaze before the rest of the building caught fire.
