On Saturday at 11:57 am, East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a report of a motorcycle crash at State Route 4 and Bixler in Byron.
Engine 59 arrived on scene and requested a medical helicopter after the rider sustained traumatic injuries after a collision with a vehicle.
The incident shut down all four lanes to land a medical helicopter.
No further information was provided.
By 1:13 pm, all lanes of traffic were re-opened.
