Brentwood: Woman Thrown from Horse Airlifted to Local Hospital

On Friday, a 61-year-old woman was thrown from a horse while riding at Round Valley Regional Preserve on Marsh Creek Road.

The East Contra Costa Fire Protection District along with CALFIRE responded where Engine 52 and AMR hiked nearly 2-miles into the park to locate the injured female.

The woman was suffering from hip and chest pain.

A medical helicopter was requested and a CHP helicopter transported the patient to John Muir Trauma Center.
