Brentwood Police Officers Association Endorses Claudette Staton for City Council

by ECT

Brentwood – Brentwood Planning Commissioner and candidate for Brentwood City Council, Claudette Staton, announced today that she has earned the endorsement of the Brentwood Police Officers’ Association for her election to fill a seat on the Brentwood City Council.

“What continues to make Brentwood such a great place to live and raise a family is our safe neighborhoods and schools – we need to keep it that way,” Staton said. “Our police officers in Brentwood are amazing and I am honored to have their support and trust for my election.”

Staton said that City leaders, working alongside our police officers, need to continue to focus on preventing violent crime from infiltrating our community. If elected to serve on the City Council, Staton said that two of her prime issues will be beefing-up crime prevention programs and extending Sand Creek Road so that there is a shorter, direct route for 911 emergency vehicles to get to area hospitals.

“In a medical emergency, especially in commuter traffic, it takes too long for an ambulance to get to Sutter Delta or Kaiser Hospitals,” Staton said. “This needs to change so residents can get medical treatment faster so as to save lives.”

Brentwood Police Officers’ Association President Officer Eric Huesman said, “The Brentwood Police Officers’ Association interviewed the candidates for City Council, and we believe Claudette Staton shares our chief concerns for keeping Brentwood neighborhoods and families safe.”

“Our City’s police officers highly recommend Claudette Staton for election to the City Council and we invite voters to join us in our effort to elect Claudette,” Huesman added.
