Brentwood Police Investigate Afternoon Stabbing in Downtown Area

The Brentwood Police Department is currently investigating a stabbing in downtown Brentwood this afternoon around 2:16 pm.

Brentwood Police Chief Mark Evenson confirmed two people were injured and one person is currently in custody at this time. They are still investigating the incident and will release more information this evening.

The fight involved two from Liberty High School and one from Independence High School. The students were taken to a local hospital and their injuries are not considered to be life threatening.

While its not been confirmed, it appears the incident occurred in the area of City Park and carried over down Maple St. to Diablo Way/2nd Street area.
