Brentwood Police: 16-Year-Old Suspect in Downtown Stabbing

The Brentwood Police Department has released official information regarding this afternoons stabbing that left two people injured with stab wounds. The Police Department located a 16-year-old at his home and took him into custody without incident.

Official Press Release:

On February 20, 2014 at approximately 1414 hours, Brentwood Police Officers were dispatched to Brentwood City Hall (150 City Park Way) regarding a stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers located a 17 year old male Brentwood resident on Pine Street near Second Street.  He was bleeding from a stab wound to his head and upper torso.  A 16 year old male Brentwood resident was located on Diablo Way near Pine Street.  He was bleeding from a stab wound to his forehead.  The 17 year old male was transported by ambulance to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek.  The 16 year old male was transported by ambulance to Sutter Delta Medical Center in Antioch.  Both subjects appeared to have non-life threatening injuries.

A crime scene was located on the south side of City Hall.

After processing the crime scene, collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses, officers were able to positively identify a suspect (a 16 year old male).  At approximately 1530 hours, the suspect was contacted at his residence in Brentwood. The weapon was recovered and the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
