Sweetest kid! I’ve known him since he was 6 years old…and that kind sweet nature never changed as he grew into a young man. He will be forever loved and missed.
I am so sorry to read this. My son, LCpl David Finlayson, also died on a training run while serving with the Marines in Hawaii. He had been in perfect health. He had never had an ECG that might have revealed some sort of electrical problem with his heart. We have started a foundation, the Lion Heart Heroes Foundation, to bring cardiac screening to the military, to donate AEDs to military bases, and to raise awareness of heart issues–to prevent deaths such as this. My heartfelt condolences to the Burrell family and to all who loved Floyd.
