Brentwood: Firefighters Respond to Control Burn That Gets Out of Control

At roughly 1:06 pm, firefighters responded to a vegetation fire at Empire Road and Shady Willow Lane in Brentwood for a reported vegetation fire. The fire was a controlled burn which got out of control and was quickly reported to prevent further spread. As crews arrived, they located the fire and quickly put it out as it headed towards Marsh Creek Trail. Crews from ECCFPD (engine 52) and CONFIRE (engine 88) were on scene for roughly an hour.
