Brentwood: Firefighters Battle Vegetation Fire on Delta Road

At 9:38 am Friday, East Contra Costa Fire Protection District firefighters responded to a report of a vegetation fire in the area east of Delta Road near Byron Highway near a marina.

While responding, Engine 59 reported a column of smoke observed from Orwood and Bixler in Discovery Bay.

By 9:51 am, Engine 59 had eyes on the fire stating a 1/4 acre vegetation fire with brush and there was access issues across from Becky’s Bridge.

Fire was limited to 1/4 acre.
