At 2:28 am Wednesday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a report of a residential structure fire in the 1600 block of Eden Plains Road in Brentwood.
Upon arrival, they located smoke and flames with a house involved.
According to neighbors, the house burned to the ground, however, firefighters did prevent it from spreading to neighboring homes.
